Story Synopsis: Bree left in a flash with the Shadow King, aka The Hunter. In a very shady deal, Bree agrees to learn from the Shadow King while he took the memories of the people she loves most. For months, she trains with him, while her friends look for her and try to deal with the subterfuge of the Order. When Bree inadvertently runs into another Rootcrafter who’s been kidnapped, her whole plan of learning from the Shadow King and even helping him goes out the window in favor or rescuing young women like her. Meanwhile, Nick & William still look for Bree - and Sel - while on a specially sanctioned quest by the Order.

Why does this book beguile? Like its predecessors, Oathbound is packed with action, character development, and magic. I thoroughly enjoyed the new points-of-view from William and others throughout the book to help round out Bree’s experience. I’m SO excited to see where this series goes. I’m thinking it’s going to be a five-book series!
