Thoughts & Feelings: V.E. Schwab’s The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue is a testament to excellent writing and gorgeous storytelling. As a relatively new release, I was excited to read while the book gained popularity. Rarely, in my experience, do books live up to the hype.
Addie exceeded all expectations.
Schwab’s writing is clear and poetic and transports you directly into Addie’s World. I loved the rhythm of Schwab’s writing and how she is descriptive but allows the reader’s imagination to build the world Addie sees.
The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue is a beautiful paradox of a story. It’s simple and complex. Heartbreaking and uplifting. The end is equally paradoxical as I found myself desperately wanting more and yet extremely satisfied with the ending.
