Favorite Quote: This wasn’t about becoming someone I wasn’t, but about stepping into a version of myself that could handle everything the sport demanded— on and off the track. And it paid off.
Synopsis: Susie Wolff is changing the way women connect with Formula 1 forever. Starting out as a karter when she was a kid, Susie quickly learned she was often the only woman in the room. Rather than dissuade her, she honed that feeling into her superpower. With kindness and grace, she not only did what she could to lead on the track, but also lead in the world of business. From being a team principal to reimagining F1 Acadamy, Susie Wolff shows women everywhere that they can, in fact, have it all.
Why does this book beguile? I’ve been a longtime fan of Formula 1 and known who Susie Wolff is in her own right. However, she’s commonly known as “Toto’s wife.” In Driven, Susie sets herself apart, sharing with readers why she’s been able to achieve such high success. Throughout the book, Susie drops amazing leadership nuggets for readers without ever putting down someone she’s encountered or writing a negative thing about a situation. Driven is a rare example of how authenticity makes you better at everything you do.
