Read this if you… love the move Elf with Will Ferrel and love behind-the-scenes stories and trivia of show business.
Why does this beguile? Elf is a modern holiday classic. I learned more than I expected (like Jon Favreau has an improv background?!) and was reminded that it’s important to look at a seemingly mundane world through child-like wonder to maintain the magic of the world. It’s also a fun and quick read, and reminds you that no path to creation is ever as direct and linear as you want.
What it's about: In Elf Unwrapped, Andy Richter shares comments and interviews and stories from cast and crew of the making of the movie. It’s a lovely, joyful look back at a hilarious holiday movie with a lot of heart. Andy Richter makes for a great storyteller (and sidekick - read the book, you’ll get the reference).
