Why does this book beguile? Holly Jackson’s debut novel, A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder, was recommended to me a year ago and I loved it. When I saw Five Survive, I knew Holly Jackson had another fun mystery up her sleeve. The characters are complex and they feel real, almost like you knew these people in high school too. Jackson did a great job of keeping the twists fresh without being over the top.
