Favorite Quote: Sometimes, when things are broken, I find they fix themselves if you just pretend that they are fine and give them time.

Story Synopsis: Enid loves space and regularly calls and texts her mom with fun facts about space. She’s sex-positive, dates casually, and loves to listen to true crime podcasts.

When Enid sees a face outside her window and a strange person lurking by her front door, she spirals down the path of her phobia of bald men, her obsession with murder, and the ways women are murdered. When some repressed memories come bubbling to the surface, Enid must face some realities of the masks she wears.

Why does this book beguile? Interesting Facts about Space epitomizes the phrase, “At no point did I know what would happen next.” At first, I thought this was going to be a rom-com-type book. Then, I thought, maybe a true crime novel. In the end, it was neither. Or perhaps it was both? Who knows. I loved it.

Enid is quippy, literal, and definitely on the spectrum. Maybe I related a little too much to Enid, but I found Interesting Facts about Space to be utterly delightful and fun.
