Story Synopsis: Jet Mason can’t quite launch in life. After some starts and stops with schooling and a career, she’s back at home in Woodstock, Vermont, living with her parents after ending a relationship. When Jet is attacked on Halloween, she’s given a week to live due to a rare aneurysm following head trauma. So, she decides to solve her own murder.

Why does this book beguile? I’ve read every Holly Jackson book, and Not Quite Dead Yet is yet another good one. Jet Mason is chaotic good, but heavy emphasis on the chaotic. I was able to figure out the killer pretty early on, but the journey was enjoyable and heart-wrenching in all the best ways.
