Favorite Quote: If you really want to know what’s going on in an organization, you always ask the people closest to the customer and closest to the core activity, whether it’s providing a service or making something.

Synopsis: Reset by Dan Heath takes a look at systems thinking and systems-decision making. Broken down in to actions, Reset helps the reader create an actionable plan to use within their business to see waste, inefficiencies, and what truly drives value within their company.

Why does this book beguile? I do love an organizational efficiency book and Reset fits the bill. I enjoyed how Dan Heath takes a look at the why of a business. Why are things done this way? Why do businesses keep doing things in this manner? Why why why? And the kicker for me: so few businesses want to ask why once they are established because they are afraid of having made a poor/wrong decision in the past. More businesses/companies - especially established ones - can take advantage of this book.
