Story Synopsis: How do I even begin this synopsis? Jen Deluca had the best quote on the cover of The Wisteria Society of Lady Scoundrels, “Delightfully bonkers.”
TWSLS follows the story of Cecilia Bassingthwaite, a prim and proper pirate who lives with her Aunt Darlington. Both ladies are part of The Wisteria Society, a ladies-only society of pirates who fly their houses around Great Britain, thieving and robbing people and buildings. After Cecilia receives her first assassination attempt by a scoundrel pirate and thwarts him, she keeps running into him and falling in love little by little.
Why does this book beguile? TWSLS is delightfully bonkers, a fun read, and will most certainly lift your spirits. It was romantic and silly with fun characters. This book felt like Bridgerton met Captain Jack Sparrow and had a magical book-child. It’s entertaining and wacky. You’ll love reading it without having to keep up with an ornate plot or too many characters.
