Favorite Quote: Why are feelings so brutal? Everyone makes friendship seem like garden parties and sleepovers when really it’s Jurassic Park for emotions.

Story Synopsis: Viola Reyes barely tolerates everyone at her school, including her twin brother Sebastian (Bash). When homecoming hero and all-state running back Jack starts playing her favorite online role-playing game, she ends up sharing more of herself than intended and questioning the very principles she prides herself on.

Why does this book beguile? I got this book as part of a mystery bag of books and it is SO CUTE. I did not know Alexene Farol Follmuth was the real name of author Olivie Blake, whom I love. This is a Shakespeare retelling of The Taming of the Shrew with a little bit of Twelfth Night thrown in for easter eggs. Absolutely adorable and highly recommended for a lighthearted, cozy read.
