Why does this book beguile? Interesting story: The hubby sent me a screenshot of this book and asked if I’d heard of it. I hadn’t, but it looked… moderately interesting. I bought it thinking I’d read it later this year or beyond, but something kept nagging at me to read it now. I’m glad I did.

Much to my surprise, How to be F*cking Happy is not a bro-focused book with pithy quotes and oversimplified advice on finding a societally-approved version of happiness. No, this book focuses on being yourself and finding your authentic happiness. There’s a lot of high-level guidance and advice for readers to take and apply to their lives and unique situations.

The best part of this book - which, again, I was pleasantly shocked to discover - is how How to Be F*cking Happy distills hundreds and hundreds of pages of disparate self-improvement, leadership, and business books into one, easy-to-digest, fun book to read. For someone who reads A LOT in this genre, that’s huge.

I could absolutely tell you my top five business books to read and then tell you my top five self-improvement books to read, but How to Be F*cking Happy does a great job of marrying those two worlds. If you’re reading or reading nonfiction/business books, this is a great place to start.
