Favorite Quote: ‘The paradox,’ he says, ‘is that, though every organization thinks they have unique problems, many change issues are centred on one thing. The ability – or inability – to convert vision into action.’

Synopsis: The New Zealand All-Blacks is the world’s most successful sports team. Not only do they have an impressive record, but they are also iconic around the world for performing the haka before each match. Legacy dives into what has made the All-Blacks so successful, both on and off the field. In diving into the All-Blacks legacy, James Kerr translates the successes and failures of the All-Blacks into lessons for leaders in any business.

Why does this book beguile? I really, really enjoyed this book. It was recommended to me by a coworker and I am delighted by it. Legacy distills the best parts of many business books into these pages while tying the lessons back to how the All-Blacks built their dynasty. This book is also very special to me having visited New Zealand a few times. I love how the Maori culture has persisted despite colonization and not only has it persisted, but it is also embraced by all New Zealanders as part of their cultural identity. Legacy is an excellent business and leadership book.
